2. Thyroid Disorder. When was the last time you had your thyroid checked? If it has been a while since you have had blood tests, this is one of the first areas to have checked.

If you have hypothyroidism, this will lead to tiredness and stress. Usually, if you see your doctor complaining of fatigue, they will check your thyroid. However, if your doctor doesn't suggest this, be sure you request your thyroid levels are monitored.

3. Too Much Exercise. Are you someone excited about your workout program? Despite feeling tired, you push yourself daily because you know it is "good for you?"

Your workout could be causing your extreme tiredness. It is easy to overlook this because exercise does energize you and even in your state of exhaustion, you may feel better after a workout. However, this is the endorphins: once they wear off, you will be left more tired.

Rest days are crucial in any workout program. If you are not taking enough rest days, fatigue will be the price you pay. Please have a good look at your plan and make sure rest days are scheduled.

4. Lack Of B Vitamins. Finally, also consider B vitamins. B vitamins are essential for helping turn the food you eat into usable energy, so you don't want to fall low on these. B vitamins are water-soluble, meaning you need to take them daily otherwise they will be excreted from your body leaving your levels low and ineffective.

If you are not eating a varied diet which is found in fresh produce and meat, then consider a vitamin C complex supplement. It may just make a difference to how you feel.

Keep these points in mind and use them as you evaluate what could be happening in your life causing you to feel fatigued. The sooner you can get it straightened out, the quicker you will be leading the life you want.

Compassion fatigue is not the same as burnout, although they are related. Compassion fatigue is the profound emotional and physical exhaustion that develops over a course of time. It is the gradual erosion of all the things that keep us connected to each other as caregivers. When compassion fatigue begins to set in, we see changes in our personal and professional lives. We can become bitter at work; we may add to the toxic work environment; we are more prone to medical errors; and we may violate client boundaries. At home, we may become short-tempered with out loved ones and feel a sense of guilt or resentment at the ongoing demands on our personal time. This is the "cost of caring".

Burnout is the physical and emotional exhaustion that you experience when you have low job satisfaction and feel powerless and overwhelmed at work. Burnout does not mean that our view of the world has been damaged or that we have lost the ability to feel compassion for others. Individuals who are non-helping professionals experience work-related burnout. Burnout can be easily resolved by changing jobs that provides immediate relief. This is not the case for compassion fatigue.

Nearly all of us have felt it- the insistent pain resulting from long days of working and standing. It is one of the common causes of physical fatigue in the workplace. Now if considered, apart from headaches, low back pain is another largest cause of the pain and physician contact in the States. Now what are solutions to this problem?

Physical fatigue can occur when the muscles are usually constricted and the blood flow is accordingly reduced. As a result, the heart is forced to work harder to pump blood through the areas which are constricted. Other nervous breakdown symptoms are dizziness, insomnia, palpitations, having frequent nightmares and some may even have amnesia.

For a nervous breakdown to be treated, you must first acknowledge that you have a problem. Once you do that, you will be able to seek help and talk about the certain cause of your problem. You and your health practitioner will then be able to formulate a treatment plan based on the causes of your nervous breakdown. Aside from facing the problem, you will also need to do other therapies to treat a nervous breakdown and to prevent further episodes. Exercise, having a healthy diet, getting adequate rest, meditation, aromatherapy and avoiding smoking, alcohol and drugs are also helpful in treating a nervous breakdown.

You see, our thoughts are innately connected to our bodies and health so if you constantly think negative thoughts about yourself and your illness then you'll experience a surge of negative symptoms and your condition will not improve. Although Mary has many friends and family who care about her, many people stay away from her, because they don't want to hear such negativity. On the other hand, let's talk about Jane. Like Mary, Jane has been battling with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for over 5 years too. She too experiences unrelenting fatigue, headaches, muscle aches and other symptoms. However, Jane does not discuss her symptoms or illness with anyone except her spouse and her physician. And, when she discusses her condition, she only speaks of it in a positive manner. In fact, no one even knows that Jane has chronic Fatigue Syndrome because she does not dwell upon her symptoms.
